Tania Benedetto – Testimony

After numerous homes, my husband received an assignment to Langley Air Force Base. Shortly after we moved to Poquoson, my oldest daughter began to go to a church very close to our house. Time passed and our other daughter began to go church with her. The girls asked me and my husband to come with them. I resisted for some time, but deep within me I sensed that there must be something more to life then this. I had a wonderful husband and two amazing daughters but I still felt this void in my life that I just could not put my finger on. I had searched years before but down wrong roads that lead to nowhere. I broke down and decided to go to church with my daughters. This was a totally new experience for me as I had really never attended church before and had no idea who God was. During the next year, God began to break down the hardness and stubbornness that surrounded my heart. His unfailing love was revealed and I began to long for His presence in my heart and my life. In 1999, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. He filled that void in my heart that nothing else could satisfy. I finally realized that nothing on earth could compare to His great gift of salvation and love.I am forever amazed that the Creator of the universe desires a personal relationship with each of us. He was waiting for me all those years, patiently waiting for me to silence myself enough to hear Him. He has placed a song in my heart that can not be quieted. My spirit longs to lift up praises to the King of Kings for what He has done in my life and what he can do in yours. I love what Zephaniah 3:17 says, The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.
I will forever be in His service.
